Graduation

A Poem for a Greduating Daughter
Young woman, my daughter,
my joy and my heart,
You’re reached the end
only to find a new start.

The world sees the young woman
with her charm and her smile,
but behind the woman
I will always see the child.

  • Be the best that you can be…
    Pursue your goals persistently
    Make you fondest dreams come true;
    And most of all,
    Believe in You.
  • Remember that overnight succes usually takes about fifteen years.
  • Reach high, for stars lie hidden in your soul.
    Dream deel, for every dream precedes the goal.
  • Rest not! Life is sweeping by;
    Go and dare before you die.
    Something mighty and sublime,
    Leave behind to conquer time.
  • If you want a place in the sun, you’ll have to leave the shade of the family tree.
  • The explanation of triumph is all in the first syllable.
  • Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.
  • You won’t dicover new lands nless you lose sight of the shore.
  • The uncertainties of the present always give way to the enchanted possibilities of the future. You are destined for greatness. Enjoy you journey and remember to have fun.
  • You have brains in your head.
    You have feet in your shoes.
    You can steer yourself
    Any direction you choose.
  • I do not know beneath what sky
    Nor or what seas shall be thy fate
    I only know it shall be high,
    I only know it shall be great.
